Job Responsibilities

·       Welcome all guests and provide exceptional customer service 

·       Educate guests regarding Briedé Family Vineyard wines, our history, and our values

·       Promote Briedé Family Vineyards' Founders Club wine club to all guests 

·       Effectively upsell and cross-sell wine and associated merchandise 

·       Converse with customers on the topic of wine and wine/food pairings

·       Must be able to keep track of tabs for multiple parties/groups 

·       Must be able to work in the tasting room, on the terrace and outdoor pavilion 

·       General maintenance including stocking shelves, taking inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness of the tasting room, as well as washing and polishing glassware and dishes

·       Navigate Point of Sale (POS) system and process sales and wine club memberships

·       Properly checking all customer's ID's before serving wine 

·       Multitasking in a fast-paced wine tasting environment (serve multiple parties at the same time, maintain organization, etc.)

·       Accomplish pre-shift and post-shift cleaning requirements (cleaning of bathroom, dishes, glasses, etc.)

·       Dress in either business casual or Briedé Family Vineyards logo attire 

·       Must be available weekends and some holidays

Job Qualifications

·       Hospitality/tasting room/winery experience preferred, but not required, will train

·       Basic knowledge of wine and/or wine making is preferred

·       Friendly and outgoing personality

·       Strong communication skills 

·       Must work well in team environment 

·       Must be able to think on their feet 

·       Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment 

·       Must be able to make change accurately for cash sales 

·       21+ years of age at time of employment 

·       Must have access to reliable transportation 

·       Must be able to lift 40 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs

Briedé Family Vineyards in Winchester, VA is looking for a part-time Tasting Room Associate to join our team! Be part of a local, family-owned business that is rooted in providing an exceptional wine experience to our guests. In this role, you will be the primary interface with our customers, and the face of our brand. A cheerful and positive attitude/personality is essential to this job. A desire to expand knowledge of wine and provide top notch customer service for our wine members, customers and guests is key to this position.

Estimated at 10-20 hours per week, however required hours will vary week to week. May include some weekdays (Monday, Thursday, Friday).  Weekends and some holidays.

We offer a competitive hourly rate with the ability to make more based upon excellent service and tips.
